A hand-drawn scribe animation utilising stop-motion with paper cut-out techniques. The floral elements that can be seen dotted at intersections were also used for a poster-version of this important ‘Preventing Maternal Mortality’ message. I worked closely with the client and a graphic designer to ensure visual consistency between the animation and poster.

Background: This video was used to raise awareness of the main indirect causes of maternal mortality. Its' aim is to provide guidance on the assessment of unwell pregnant and postpartum women who display associated symptoms such as cardiac conditions, neurological conditions such as epilepsy, influenza, and pneumonia, and mental health problems resulting in suicide.
